What we collect, and why.
Nothing here is gated, so there is very little to describe. This covers the request forms and nothing else.

- What we collect
- Only what you type into a request form: your email address, and — if you fill them in — your outlet and deadline. Nothing else. There is no account, no profile and no tracking cookie on this site.
- Why
- To answer you. The legal basis is your request, not consent: you asked us for an interview, a review unit or a file, so we reply. Art. 6(1)(b).
- What we never do
- There is no press list and no newsletter. Asking us for something never signs you up to anything, because there is nothing to be signed up to.
- Who processes it
- Resend, for email delivery, acting as a processor under contract. Nobody else. We do not sell or share your address.
- How long
- A request is kept for up to 12 months, in the mailbox it arrived in, so we can pick up a conversation you started.
- Your rights
- Access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Write to us and we will act on it.
- Complaints
- You may complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority (Persónuvernd, personuvernd.is), or to the supervisory authority where you live.
Downloading files
Documents, images and logos download without any form. We do not know who took them, and we would rather not — a press room that counts its readers is a press room journalists use less.
